Graeme George MACE MACEL MRACI CChem MAIP
I have been a secondary school science teacher at Villanova College, Brisbane, for thirty years and for most of that period I've held a senior leadership position within the College. From 2003 to 2009, I had the opportunity to lead an extensive whole-of-school renewal program which, in addition to other significant and strategic reforms in school structure, ethos, curriculum and pedagogy, involved the development and implementation of restorative practices across the College.
I've had the pleasure of presenting papers at national and international conferences on topics including school renewal, school leadership and change management, restorative practices, and the moral emotions of shame and guilt. An experienced trainer in Restorative Practices, I have also conducted train-the-trainer programs for teachers and leaders from other schools and colleges. My primary research interests include restorative practices, teaching pedagogy and Augustinian studies, and I have had the great privilege of acting as consultant and/or critical friend to numerous school communities, teachers and students of RP around Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
I welcome contact, enquiries and feedback from educators interested in Restorative Practices in the school setting.
